It was far more emotional than I expected. It almost kept me from noticing the time paradox, or thinking about the whacko robot design.
They used real astrophysics calculations to properly render a spinning black hole for the first time, which was stunning, and then totally blew the reality of what happens to matter falling into a black hole (it'd be shredded long before the event horizon) and that was annoying, but the emotionals were so strong that they effectively beat down my nerd rage and made me like it anyway.
DAMN YOU, HOLLYWOOD!
